NSF hosts a variety of public training courses and webinars on various current and emerging aspects in the areas of sustainability, consumer products and food equipment standards. Our team of industry experts develops and maintains educational materials that reflect the most relevant industry practices and trends.

NSF/ANSI Food Equipment Standard Training

This one-day training session is an opportunity for you to learn about the NSF certification policies that govern product listings to the following standards: NSF/ANSI 2: Food Equipment; NSF/ANSI 4: Commercial Cooking, Re-Thermalization and Powered Hot Food Holding and Transport Equipment; NSF/ANSI 7: Commercial Refrigerators and Freezers and NSF/ANSI 51: Food Equipment Materials. This course covers physical design and construction requirements, performance testing protocol, material formulation requirements, key definitions and the NSF certification process.

Food Equipment Exam

A credentialing exam is available for custom food equipment manufacturers. Trainees passing this exam will receive a certificate, credentialing them as demonstrating competent knowledge of NSF standards and policies relevant to custom foodservice equipment. Having a credentialed employee on staff at the production facility qualifies a manufacturing facility to receive only one audit per year if it is currently required to receive two.

Our training courses and webinars allow you to learn from experts while sharing best practices with industry colleagues. We host our public courses in cities across the U.S. and worldwide.

We develop and maintain educational materials to ensure your staff keeps pace with the most relevant industry practices and trends. We can assess knowledge gaps and provide solutions for your employees and your company.
